Like many other premium products from India, these burners and burner systems have an export potential. SGS Technologies have already executed export jobs in Africa, Bangladesh, and China etc. Some of the prestigious and first of its kind, work done in the Industry includes: - Replacing the 2000 Kw connected load for Heating of Pipe Annealing furnace by HSD/ KEROSENE fired Recuperative Radiant tube burners: A process heating consumption of 280 Kw/ Ton was replaced by 40 Liters/ Hr use of HSD to achieve the required uniformity at 930 Deg C annealing furnace at major ERW tube producer in INDIA. Eventual use of W Radiant tube in place of U Radiant tube reduced the capital cost by 40 % and achieved lower fuel consumptions. Through various OEM's this was repeated at many plants.
- Light Diesel Fired Flat Flame burners converted to Naphtha firing for Major EDC/ PVC manufacturer to achieve lowering of fuel costs by fuel shift : A major PVC producer saw an opportunity in short term by shifting to Naphtha firing ( When prices were lower than Imported Kerosene) and demonstration Pilot project and eventual successful commissioning of 100 Flat flame burners with very little / low cost modifications was short span of Three month and helped customer save over 1 Cr in fuel Bill in 6 months.
- Light Diesel Fired Pulse/ Sequential On off Control operated Combustion system for Pipe Annealing furnace for Ductile Iron Pipe Maker in East India.: When world Leaders in Pulse firing and combustion system regretted to use LDO for Pulse/ Sequential On off Control operated Combustion system for Pipe Annealing furnace for Ductile Iron Pipe We devised the complete system, PLC based program and helped the customer achieve a successful commercial operation in one Month of supply date. The above furnace is working successfully for over 6 years and has achieved excellent temp uniformity in a zone with amazing Zonal turndown of over 1: 15. (A zone of six burners with total Zonal firing capacity of 120 Ltrs per Hr Running consistently at 7.85 Ltrs/ Hr zonal firing)
- A Fully automated with UV flame sensing etc Aluminum melting furnace for OEM for a supply to Major Aluminum primary producer: When a European OEM was building 4 Al Melting furnaces and had to supply Furnace with a Turndown in Excess of 1: 7 with Furnace Oil We achieved this stringent test in all four Melters.
- A Stainless steel producer in North India chose us for Doing complete combustion system for Furnace Oil fired 85 TPH walking beam furnace. We developed the heating curves, chose appropriate burners and combustion system and helped the customer achieve the commercial production in the first week of Light up.
- A 10 TPH pusher Reheat Furnace user had surplus BFG in his plant and we helped him to maximize the BFG use to save on Furnace oil bill: An existing Furnace oil user approached us for saving fuel oil after maximizing the use of BFG he was to flare in his plant ( Later we came to know that India's Largest Burner maker had refused/ confirmed that it can be done) , we gladly evaluated the case and confirmed the equipments required and achieved the best level of use of 18 Ltrs of FO ( rest BFG) / Ton of rolled steel from original 40 Ltrs/ Ton Furnace Oil consumption. This place has combination firing of BFG and Furnace oil in all soak zone burners.
- 45 TPH WBF user has surplus BFG and We again save over 200 Ltrs/ Hr of Fuel cost.: The Customer had limited extra BFG available and we used in pre heating zone Available BFG Equivalent of 225 Ltrs/ Hr of Oil firing and saved actually 200 Ltrs/ Hr in his total fuel consumption.
- An Aluminum Rolling mill Nigeria chooses us to provide duel fuel burner ( Natural Gas and LVFO) for Melting and Holding furnaces: A fuel shift/ switch will be a more common happening in due course and customers will have to take advantage of various fluctuating fuel costs and lower their fuel bill. We used the Fuel Switch opportunity at Aluminum Rolling mill to convert over 4 furnaces for them to Duel fuel operation.
